Your information, handled with care.
North Porch Websites uses the information you share to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, build and maintain websites, and keep payment and approval records. Updated September 8, 2026.
What we collect
Project enquiries include your name, email, business, service area, current website, and message. Customer records may also include your brief, public business details, photos, written messages, approvals, and payment references. Website enquiry forms collect the contact and project details shown on the form. Basic request information is used to limit spam and protect customer links.
How it is used
We use project details for the service you request. When someone sends an enquiry through a customer website, the enquiry is saved for that business and its website service team, then a notification is attempted. We do not sell enquiry lists or automatically enrol people in marketing. Submitting a service enquiry is permission to respond about that request.
Service providers & payment
Website hosting, database records, and uploaded files use Sites infrastructure. Stripe handles payment details when checkout is enabled; North Porch keeps payment references and status, not card numbers. Our configured email provider sends service notifications. Providers may process information outside your province or Canada under their service arrangements.
Access & retention
The owner dashboard requires the configured owner’s sign-in. Private customer links are limited to an order and can expire or be revoked. Customer approvals and operational records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve issues, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. We review information when a relationship ends; there is no automatic promise to delete payment or dispute records immediately.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct, or delete information where applicable, or withdraw optional contact permission. Use your private customer workspace or the North Porch enquiry form with “Privacy request” in the message. We may need to confirm identity before disclosing or changing records. The written proposal and customer handover provide the confirmed business contact details.
Public business details
Only business contact details and materials approved for publication belong on a live customer website. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive personal information. Demonstration businesses are labelled fictional; demonstration forms do not collect enquiries on their behalf.
